Marion County, OR – Two people were killed in a head-on collision on Marion Road in Marion County early Wednesday morning, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The fatal crash occurred shortly after midnight on June 17, 2026, in the 14000 block of Marion Road SE near Salem.
Deputies said a Kia crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a Volkswagen Passat traveling in the opposite direction.
Both drivers suffered fatal injuries in the crash and were pronounced dead at the scene despite lifesaving efforts by first responders. Authorities identified the victims as 22-year-old Blaik Peruchetti and a 16-year-old girl.
Investigators are working to determine what caused the Kia to cross into oncoming traffic.
Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies and emergency personnel responded to the scene and conducted rescue and investigation efforts.
The fatal crash remains under investigation, and no additional information has been released.
