Phoenix, AZ.- A man was hospitalized with major injuries after being involved in an auto-pedestrian crash in central Phoenix early Tuesday morning.
According to the Phoenix police, officers responded at around 3 a.m. to the crash near 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
A man was trying to walk across 19th Avenue when a vehicle struck him.
The man was taken to a hospital and was expected to survive.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the crash and is still at large.
There were no descriptions of the suspect or vehicle involved.
A search for the hit-and-run motorist is ongoing.
