Westminster, CA. – A 93-year-old man died in a bicycle accident that happened Tuesday afternoon at an intersection in Westminster.
According to the Westminster Police Department, the crash was reported around 4:15 p.m. at Newland Street and Bolsa Avenue.
Police said the man was riding a bicycle in the area when he collided with a car.
Officers responded to the scene and found the cyclist lying in the roadway, bleeding. The officers provided life-saving measures to the unresponsive man until Orange County Fire Department paramedics arrived and took over.
The man was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved stopped and cooperated with investigators.
WPD is investigating the accident.
