At around 8:17 p.m., authorities responded to reports of a train crash at 11528 S. Wilmington Avenue.
The pedestrian was struck by a two-car train on the Metro A Line route.
The victim died at the site of the collision.
The victim's name was not immediately released.
There were no injuries reported by the train's occupants.
