The woman was pronounced dead at the accident scene
Palmdale, CA. – A woman in her 30s died after being struck by a car early Saturday morning in Palmdale.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the accident happened around 4:13 a.m. in the area of 20th Street East and Avenue S.
A light blue 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis was traveling westbound on Avenue S when it struck a pedestrian who was pushing a shopping cart across the street.
The woman was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver fled the scene but was later located and taken into custody.
