Madera County, CA. – A 65-year-old man died after he was ejected from a vehicle in a collision that happened Friday afternoon in Madera County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 12:30 p.m. on Avenue 12 west of Road 30.
Authorities said a woman was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu westbound on Avenue 12 with a 65-year-old man as his passenger.
For an unknown reason, the driver veered off the roadway onto the right shoulder, collided with a ditch, overturned, and hit two almond trees.
The man was ejected in the crash, sustaining fatal injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The driver was hospitalized with minor injuries.
