Madera County, CA. – A woman was killed in a rollover crash on Friday morning in Madera County.
The fatal collision happened around 9:30 a.m. on southbound Highway 99 near Avenue 11.
A woman from Chowchilla was driving a maroon Chevrolet Suburban southbound on Highway 99 when she crashed into the rear of a Chevrolet Malibu that had made a complete stop ahead of her.
The suburban veered into the center median, overturned, and landed on its wheels.
A 52-year-old woman from Madera who was a passenger in the Suburban was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Malibu and the additional passenger in the suburban were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
