Phoenix, AZ.- A man was hospitalized with major injuries after a crash that happened in north Phoenix early Saturday morning, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The incident took place on 47th Avenue and Thunderbird Road just before 2:50 a.m. March 29.
A truck traveling was westbound on Thunderbird Road when it collided with the rear of an SUV and the impact caused the SUV to roll onto its side.
The Phoenix Fire Department responded to the scene and pulled out a woman trapped in the SUV.
The man driving the truck was also pulled out of his vehicle.
The man was taken to a hospital with critical injuries while the woman was treated for minor injuries.
The truck also collided with a traffic pole after the crash.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
