Major Injury Wrong-Way Collision on Interstate 17 in Coconino County

Coconino County, Ariz. – Authorities are investigating a serious injury wrong-way collision on Interstate 17 in Coconino County Tuesday night.

According to a police report, the wreck happened at around 9:03 p.m. on the northbound Interstate 17 near milepost 321.

The police said two vehicles collided head-on after one the cars involved veered into the oncoming traffic.

One person suffered severe injuries in the collision.

No additional information about the wreck was provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
