Monterey, CA – One person was seriously injured in a Saturday mid-morning two-vehicle collision on Highway 68 in Monterey.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the mishap happened at around 11:47 a.m. on the westbound State Route 68 just west of Torero Drive.
A preliminary investigation revealed an eastbound Mercedes when for unknown reasons it turned into the westbound lane and collided with a truck travelling west on the roadway.
Both vehicles spun out into a pole.
One person suffered severe injuries and was transported to Nevidad Medical Center for treatment.
More details regarding the wreck were not provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
