Berkeley, CA. – A woman died after being struck by a car on Sunday afternoon in North Berkeley.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 1 p.m. at California and Ada streets, about a block south of Monterey Market.
A vehicle is reported to have struck the 66-year-old woman in unclear circumstances.
The woman was trapped underneath the vehicle and firefighters had to use floor jacks to rescue her.
The unidentified woman was transported to Highland Hospital where she later died.
