According to the WSP, a semi-truck was traveling southbound on SR 99 when it was struck by a motorcyclist, who was merging onto the highway from 31st Avenue West.

Lynnwood, WA – A motorcycle rider was killed in a collision involving a big rig in Lynnwood on on Thursday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The wreck happened on State Route 99 near 31st Avenue West shortly after 5 a.m. July 30.
According to the WSP, a semi-truck was traveling southbound on SR 99 when it was struck by a motorcyclist, who was merging onto the highway from 31st Avenue West.
The motorcyclist, a 38-year-old Lynnwood woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The operator of the semi-truck, a 43-year-old man from Everett, was contacted by the authorities.
The accident caused a closure of SR 99 near SR 525 as authorities investigated the accident.
An investigation by the Washington State Patrol is ongoing and additional details are expected to be released.
