Lucerne Valley, CA – A male pedestrian was killed Thursday evening after being struck by a vehicle on State Route 18 in Lucerne Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP dispatch logs indicate the collision involved a vehicle and a pedestrian. Witnesses reported that a white Ford struck a man. Several vehicles stopped in the area, and the victim was found down in the traffic lanes.
The pedestrian died at the scene. His identity has not been released, and no injuries to any driver were reported in the initial incident log.
The westbound lanes of State Route 18 were closed as investigators processed the scene, while eastbound traffic remained open and westbound vehicles were diverted onto nearby side streets.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office was notified to respond.
The crash remains under investigation.
