Los Angeles, CA – The authorities have released the name of the man who was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on the Harbor (110) Freeway early Saturday morning.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 24-year-old Timothy Crawford.
The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. Saturday on the southbound 110 Freeway just north of West 51st Street.
According to investigators, the crash involved a Lexus ES350, a Chevrolet Camaro, a Toyota Corolla Crossover, and a Toyota Corolla.
According to CHP, the Lexus was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck the Camaro, then collided with the Corolla Crossover and the Corolla. The Lexus overturned following the collision.
Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene.
CHP did not provide information about injuries to occupants of the other vehicles. No arrests were reported.
Preliminary investigations showed that speed was a factor in the collision. The crash prompted a SigAlert while authorities worked at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
