According to police, Davison was driving a pickup truck that collided with an SUV near the intersection

Encinitas, CA.– The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the 51-year-old man who was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Encinitas on Saturday morning.
Leonard Davison, of Encinitas, died in the incident that happened on La Costa Avenue and Piraeus Street at about 5:30 a.m. August 9.
According to police, Davison was driving a pickup truck that collided with an SUV near the intersection.
The impact caused the truck to overturn and Davison was trapped in the wreckage.
Davison was pulled out of his vehicle by the emergency crews.
He was then rushed to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, where he was pronounced deceased shortly after.
The other driver was arrested on DUI charges.
The accident is under investigation.
