La Mesa, CA – Major injuries were reported in a traffic collision involving a semi-truck that happened early Saturday morning on Interstate 8, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident occurred around 1:38 a.m. on the eastbound I-8 near Fletcher Parkway.
According to CHP, a white pickup truck, a red SUV, and a semi-truck were involved in the crash. At least one of the vehicles ended up under the semi-truck.
At least one person suffered major injuries in the accident, the report said.
A large amount of vehicle fluids spilled in traffic lanes, and a lot of debris was scattered on the freeway.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
