Willow Glen High School Student Hit, Killed by Car on Rinconada Drive in San Jose Identified
San Jose, California (June 8, 2023) – 15-year-old Justin Estira has been identified by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner as the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car early Wednesday morning.
The auto-pedestrian accident happened at around 1:36 a.m. on Rinconada Drive, according to the San Jose Unified School District.
A juvenile girl was driving a 2019 Subaru sedan through an apartment complex parking lot entrance when she struck the Willow Glen High School student.
Estira was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the authorities.
More details about the pedestrian accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
