Baril was driving a Subaru Forester eastbound on Telegraph Canyon Road when he tried to make a left turn at the intersection of Apache Drive

Chula Vista, CA.- The two people who were killed in a car accident in Chula Vista on Monday evening have been identified by the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
Juanito Muyco, 76, and Michael Baril, 75, both of Chula Vista, died in the incident that took place on Telegraph Canyon Road and Apache Drive at about 7:45 p.m. August 11.
According to the Chula Vista Police Department, Baril was driving a Subaru Forester eastbound on Telegraph Canyon Road when he tried to make a left turn at the intersection of Apache Drive.
The Subaru collided with a westbound Ford Mustang and the impact caused the Subaru to overturn.
Four people were trapped in the SUV after the accident.
Baril was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The three passengers in the Subaru were taken to a hospital, where one of them was later pronounced dead.
The deceased passenger was identified as Muyco.
The driver of the Ford, identified as a 41-year-old, was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The police reported that alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors in the incident.
The Chula Vista Police Department is conducting an investigation into the collision.
