Chula Vista, CA – Randall Toru Shimizu,63, of San Diego has been identified by the coroner's office as a pedestrian killed in an accident in Chula Vista last year.
According to the CHP, Shimizu was involved in a crash at around 6:13 p.m. December 23, 2024, in the 1000 block of Industrial Boulevard.
Shimizu was walking across the street when he was struck by a Toyota sedan traveling northbound on the same roadway.
Shimizu was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further details regarding the incident were provided.
An investigation is underway.
