According to authorities, an Amtrak train for unknown reasons hit the pedestrian
Shafter, CA– A pedestrian, identified as 16-year-old Jonathan Medrano, was killed Saturday afternoon in a train accident in Shafter, police said.
The fatal incident happened at around 1:44 p.m. on August 30 in the area of Central Avenue and Central Valley Highway.
According to authorities, an Amtrak train for unknown reasons hit the pedestrian.
The pedestrian died at the scene.
At the time of reporting, investigations were still active.
