A report by the California Highway Patrol indicates that Li was driving a Tesla Model 3 westbound on SR 247 when she drifted into the path of oncoming vehicles and collided with an eastbound Kenworth T680 big rig.

Johnson Valley, CA – The woman who was killed in a collision between a Tesla and a big rig in Johnson Valley on Wednesday morning has been identified by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
ShanShan Li, 39, of Los Angeles, died in the crash that took place on State Route 247, southeast of Stony Ridge Road at around 10:50 a.m. May 6.
A report by the California Highway Patrol indicates that Li was driving a Tesla Model 3 westbound on SR 247 when she drifted into the path of oncoming vehicles and collided with an eastbound Kenworth T680 big rig.
The Victorville Area CHP and crews with the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the scene within minutes.
Li was declared deceased at the site of the incident by the responding paramedics. No other injuries were reported in the accident.
Debris from the crash was scattered across both lanes of the highway, causing a closure of the highway for hours as authorities worked to clear the scene.
