Multnomah County, OR – A person died and another was seriously injured early Saturday morning in a head-on collision in Multnomah County, according to the authorities.

The collision happened around 3:49 a.m. on September 20 on near milepost 24.

Authorities said Autumn Breeze Willis, 26, of Beaverton, was driving a BMW X3 westbound in the eastbound lanes when he crashed head-on into an eastbound Tesla Model Y driven by Jeffrey Allen Flood, 40, of Boring.

Flood died at the scene.

Willis was hospitalized with serious injuries.

The collision closed the highway for about five hours.

The authorities are investigating the accident.
