Palmdale, CA.- A man who was killed in a crash near Palmdale on Wednesday afternoon has been identified as Jason Hutton, 40, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck took place on East Palmdale Boulevard and 150th Street East at around 3:35 p.m. October 15.
According to the CHP, Hutton was driving a 2004 Honda Civic southbound on 150th Street East when he tried to make a left turn and was hit by a westbound 2010 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.
Hutton was killed in the collision.
The other motorist, a 35-year-old Lancaster man, was transported to Palmdale Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and impairement was not suspected in the incident, according to CHP.
The intersection was shut down for nearly two hours as authorities investigated the incident.
The investigation is ongoing .
