Hollister, CA – One person was killed in a head-on crash on State Route 25 in Hollister early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

As per the CHP, a Lexus sedan and a Toyota were involved in a head-on collision. One of the vehicles reportedly veered into opposing traffic, resulting in the crash. The impact left one vehicle in a ditch, while the other sustained major front-end damage in the roadway.
At least one person was trapped inside a Lexus and had to be extricated by fire personnel. Authorities later confirmed that one individual was pronounced dead. It was not immediately clear if anyone else was injured. No arrests have been reported.
Emergency responders, including fire crews, worked to extricate the trapped victim and assist at the scene, while authorities coordinated towing and traffic control.
The crash resulted in the closure of both northbound and southbound lanes of SR-25, causing significant disruption in the area.
The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
