Halloran Springs, CA – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on Interstate 15 near Halloran Springs Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The fatal collision occurred on southbound Interstate 15 near mile marker 143 at approximately 6:51 a.m., and involved a semi-truck and a red pickup truck.
According to the CHP, the pickup truck struck the center divider before veering to the right shoulder and overturning following the collision. Debris from the collision was scattered across traffic lanes.
At least one person was killed in the crash. Information regarding additional injuries has not been released. No arrests were reported.
CHP officers and emergency responders arrived at the scene and coordinated traffic control measures while assisting those involved in the crash.
The collision caused major traffic disruptions on southbound Interstate 15, with the No. 3 lane shut down for an extended period as crews cleared debris and investigated the scene. Authorities also reported approximately 10 feet of guardrail damage.
