Glendale, CA – Authorities have identified the man who was killed in a collision involving two work vehicles on the northbound Glendale (2) Freeway in Glendale on Monday afternoon.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased as George Rangel Jr., 33.
The crash was reported at approximately 3:30 p.m. on October 19Â near Mountain Street and Glendale Community College.
A witness told officers that a white truck rolled over repeatedly after the collision, eventually landing on its wheels. The occupant was trapped inside, and a second work truck was also involved.
A SigAlert was issued at approximately 3:49 p.m., closing lanes 2 through 5 on the northbound freeway and the Mountain Street on-ramp. The closures remained in place for several hours as crews worked at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
