Glendale, AZ – An investigation is underway after a motorcyclist was severely injured in a collision in Glendale on Friday evening.
According to the Glendale Police Department, officers responded to reports of a collision near Olive and 49th avenues.
A preliminary investigation reveals that an SUV was trying to make a left turn near the intersection when it was hit on its side by a motorcyclist. There was no update on which direction the motorcycle and the SUV were headed when they crashed.
When officials arrived at the scene, they found the rider with major injuries but was conscious. The rider was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Two occupants of the SUV were also hurt. The extent of their injuries and whether they needed to be transported for further treatment were not specified.
The Glendale Police Department is conducting an investigation into the collision.
