
Palmdale, CA – A six-year-old girl was killed and five other people hospitalized after a traffic collision on Pearblossom Highway in Palmdale Saturday morning.
According to the Palmdale Police Department, the wreck happened at around 11 a.m. January 25 on Pearblossom Highway and 25th Street East.
Reportedly, a 55-year-old woman driving a northbound 2022 gray Subaru Outback allegedly ran a red light and struck an eastbound 2014 Toyota Camry, which entered the intersection on a green traffic light.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed six people to two hospitals, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.
The 6-year-old girl died from her injuries at one of the two hospitals, and five others suffered minor-to-serious injuries.
No additional details regarding the mishap were provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
