The WSP said Gavin J. Wright, 22, of Monroe, was driving a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck eastbound on US 2 when he swerved across the centerline and collided with an oncoming 2017 Ford F350

Monroe, WA – A man was killed in a two-vehicle collision near Monroe in Snohomish County on Saturday evening.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident occurred on US 2 near Fern Bluff Road at around 5:48 p.m. September 6.
The WSP said Gavin J. Wright, 22, of Monroe, was driving a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck eastbound on US 2 when he swerved across the centerline and collided with an oncoming 2017 Ford F350.
Wright was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other driver, Karl Poulsen, 59, was wearing a seatbelt and was transported to Evergreen Health in Monroe with unspecified injuries.
According to WSP, alcohol or drugs may have played a role in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
