Fresno, CA – A teenager was struck and injured by a vehicle while crossing an intersection in Fresno on Friday evening.

According to the Fresno Police Department, the crash happened at Peach and Lane avenues shortly before 6 p.m. on July 17.

Investigators reported that a vehicle was traveling north on Peach Avenue when it collided with a 15-year-old boy, who was walking east across the roadway.

According to police, the boy walked across the intersection against a red light light while the driver was on a green light.

The victim sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center.

The involved driver reportedly stayed at the scene and was cooperative with the investigators.

There were no reports of arrests or citations in connection with the accident.
