Emergency responders found the man conscious and breathing at the scene before transporting him to Community Regional Medical Center

Fresno, CA – A man died after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday night near the Highway 99 off-ramp in Fresno, authorities said.
The collision occurred shortly before 10:00 p.m. on July 1 in a crosswalk near Olive Avenue and the Highway 99 exit.
According to Fresno police, a vehicle had just exited Highway 99 and was turning onto Olive Avenue when it struck the pedestrian.
Emergency responders found the man conscious and breathing at the scene before transporting him to Community Regional Medical Center. Unfortunately, the man later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver’s identity has not been released. Police said the motorist remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Authorities also stated there is no indication that alcohol or other criminal activity contributed to the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
