Fresno, CA – A man died after police say he struck several vehicles before flipping over an embankment on Highway 99 in Fresno, Thursday morning.

According to the CHP, the incident started at Ventura and B streets just before 11:30 am, when the man crashed into the first car.

He then continued to drive before hitting another vehicle on C Street.

Authorities say the man’s car then went off the embankment, going down onto Highway 99 and flipping over, ultimately landing upside-down on the freeway.

The man was declared dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area as officers investigate the scene.

Additional details about the wreck were not available.

The accident remains under investigation.
