Riverside, CA – A motorist was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Washington Street in Riverside Thursday night.
According to the Riverside Police Department, the accident was reported at around 9:30 p.m. on April 10 on Washington Street and Gladstone Boulevard.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Daniel Dubois, 32, of Norco was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck hauling a horse out of the Riverside Rancheros property when it collided with a Volkswagen sedan.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dubois was placed in custody for driving under the influence while undergoing treatment for unspecified injuries at Riverside Community Hospital.
The horse was not hurt.
An investigation is underway.
