
Eugene, OR.- A 14-year-old boy was taken to a hospital after an accident where he was struck by a vehicle while walking near a Eugene intersection on Tuesday evening. According to Eugene police, a 14-year-old girl also involved in the collision did not require transport.
The Central Lane 911 received a call at about 6:07 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2025, concerning an auto-pedestrian collision near Royal Avenue and Berntzen Road. The events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
The Eugene Police Department and Eugene Springfield Fire responded to the scene. The boy was transported to a local hospital and was expected to be flown to a hospital in Portland. The extent of injuries sustained in the crash were not immediately disclosed.
The driver of the involved Kia Optima, a 29-year-old woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The Eugene Police Department is working to find out what caused the crash.
