Escondido, CA – Three vehicles were involved in a traffic collision Wednesday morning on northbound Interstate 15 near State Route 78 in Escondido, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at approximately 11:29 a.m. near the northbound I-15 and southbound SR-78 interchange.
CHP logs indicate that a black SUV, a semi-truck, and another vehicle were involved.
One person was transported to Palomar Medical Center with minor injuries. Another person involved in the crash was being evaluated for a possible need for a medium-duty tow truck.
The collision blocked lanes 2 through 4 of northbound I-15 as emergency crews responded. Fire personnel were dispatched to the scene, and tow services were requested for the damaged vehicles.
All lanes were reopened by approximately 12:14 p.m., after the vehicles and debris were removed from the roadway.
The investigation is ongoing.
