San Diego, CA – One person was sent to the hospital after a head-on collision that happened Monday afternoon in Valley Center, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The responders found a box truck and a Ford SUV involved in a head-on crash. The SUV was on fire, but the occupants had managed to get out.
One person was transported to Palomar Medical Center Escondido with unknown injuries.
Authorities are investigating to determine what transpired leading to the crash.
