Hayward, CA. – 20-year-old Elizabeth Fuentes died in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Friday night at an intersection in Hayward, authorities reported.
The collision also left another person in critical condition and two others with minor injuries.
The incident was reported around 9:35 p.m. at Hayward Boulevard and Civic Avenue.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash.
Police said Fuentes, a resident of Hayward, died in the accident.
An 18-year-old woman who occupied the same car was hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
Another passenger, only identified as a male under 18 years old, was taken to the hospital but is expected to recover.
The driver of the car was unhurt.
The driver of a second vehicle, a 21-year-old man, was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
A 37-year-old man driving the third car also suffered minor injuries but was not hospitalized.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.

Hayward, CA.- One person was killed in a car accident that took place in Hayward on Saturday night, according to the Hayward Police Department.
The incident took place on Hayward Boulevard and Civic Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. March 8.
According to the police, three vehicles were involved in the accident but the cause of the collision was not immediately released.
A passenger in one of the vehicles, a 20-year-old woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An 18-year-old who was also a passenger in the vehicle was hospitalized with minor injuries.
A juvenile passenger was taken to a hospital and was said to be in stable condition
The other two drivers were treated for minor injuries.
It's unclear whether alcohol played a role in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
