El Centro, CA. – Authorities are investigating a suspected DUI car crash that happened in El Centro on Monday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:53 p.m. on northbound Highway 86 near Treadwell Road.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident. The events leading up to the accident were not immediately determined.
A light pole was also damaged in the crash.
According to local police, at least one person was injured in the accident and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Although an investigation into the accident is ongoing, authorities believe impairment was a factor.
