Phoenix, AZ.- A man was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Phoenix on Saturday afternoon, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The accident happened on Interstate 10 near 24th Street just after 3:15 p.m. August 9.
According to DPS, Edgar Alberto Lopez-Fernandez, 28, of Eloy, was driving eastbound on I-10 when he crashed into the rear of a white Acura.
Lopez-Fernandez then slammed into the median wall before hitting another vehicle.
Authorities reported that Lopez-Fernandez was killed in the crash.
It's unclear whether there were other injuries.
Speed is suspected to have played a role in the incident, which remains under investigation.
