North Bend, WA.- A man was killed in a big rig collision that occurred near North Bend on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident took place on Interstate 90 near exit 32 shortly before 12:45 p.m. September 3.
A semi-truck was traveling on westbound I-90 when it blew a tire and swerved into another lane, where it hit a log truck.
The impact caused the log truck to roll over.
The driver of the log truck, Dwane Sukert, 38, of Port Angeles, was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the semi, a 57-year-old Longview man, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Overlake Medical Center.
Two westbound I-90 lanes were shut down as authorities worked to clear the scene.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
