The crash happened shortly after 1 p.m., when an older-model Mercedes, reportedly speeding west on Hollister Avenue, struck several vehicles at the intersection of Hollister Avenue and Los Carneros Road.
Goleta, CA. – One person was hospitalized Monday afternoon following a multi-vehicle crash involving five cars on Hollister Avenue at Los Carneros Road, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The crash happened shortly after 1 p.m. when an older model Mercedes, reportedly speeding west on Hollister Avenue, struck several vehicles at the intersection.
The Mercedes driver suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by AMR ambulance.
A woman in one of the other vehicles had minor injuries that did not require medical attention.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of the collision.
