A 66-year-old woman was driving on the off-ramp when she drifted off the roadway and slammed into a traffic light pole

San Diego, CA.– A driver was killed in a solo crash in San Diego on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident took place at around 12:12 p.m. on the State Route 52 eastbound offramp to Mast Boulevard.
A 66-year-old woman was driving on the offramp when she drifted off the roadway and slammed into a traffic light pole.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities said DUI is not suspected to have played a role in the accident.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the collision.
