San Diego, CA.- A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Bay Park neighbourhood of San Diego early Friday morning.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the wreck occurred in the 3000 block of Morena Boulevard at about 4:20 a.m.
A 50-year-old woman was reportedly pushing a shopping cart on Morena Boulevard when she was hit by a northbound vehicle.
A person passing by noticed the pedestrian laying unconscious in the roadway.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased shortly after.
The driver who hit the woman fled the scene after the accident.
There was no description of the suspect or vehicle involved in the accident.
Authorities are searching for the hit-and-run motorist.
