Phoenix, AZ – The Phoenix Police Department has identified two male drivers killed at an intersection in Phoenix crash as 23-year-old Donnie Martinez and 35-year-old Ricardo Quintero.
The incident happened at around 10:30 p.m. on April 18 near 43rd Avenue and Orangewood Avenue, just north of Glendale Avenue.
The police said Martinez was driving northbound on 43rd Avenue when he crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting Quintero's vehicle.
Martinez and Quintero were rushed to the hospital with severe injuries, where they later died.
An investigation is in progress.

Phoenix, AZ – Two men were killed in a Friday night head-on traffic collision near an intersection in Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the wreck was reported near 43rd Avenue and Orangewood Avenue, just north of Glendale Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. on April 18.
Reportedly, a car headed northbound on 43rd Avenue crossed into oncoming traffic for unknown reasons and struck a southbound vehicle head-on.
Both male drivers were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, where they later died.
The names of the deceased were not immediately disclosed.
The police said it was not clear if impairment was a factor in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
