Investigators said Edney was in a wheelchair attempting to cross the road when he was hit by a car
Portland, OR- A pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Northeast Portland late last month has been identified as Don Edney, 59, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
Shortly before 8 p.m. October 29, authorities responded to reports of an auto-pedestrian collision on Northeast 122nd Avenue.
Investigators said Edney was in a wheelchair attempting to cross the road when he was hit by a car.
Edney was transported to a hospital, where he died the following day.
Police said the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The Portland Police Bureau is investigating the accident.
