Police reported that Dinh Le, 78, of Berkeley, was walking in the area when he was hit by an Acura MDX

Berkeley, CA.- A pedestrian died days after being hit by a vehicle in Berkeley earlier this month, according to the Berkeley Police Department.
The incident took place on Derby Street at about 6:45 p.m. August 17.
Police reported that Dinh Le, 78, of Berkeley, was walking in the area when he was hit by an Acura MDX.
Le was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased a week later.
The driver, a 58-year-old Santa Clara man, remained at the scene after the accident.
The Berkeley Police Department is investigating the crash.
