Panorama City, CA – A young U.S. Marine, identified as 26-year-old Adrian Carrillo, and his girlfriend were among the three people killed in a multi-vehicle crash at an intersection in Panorama City on Friday night, according to a family member.

The violent incident happened at about 9:36 p.m. on December 12 at the intersection of Woodman Avenue and Cantara Street.

According to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department, a gray Plymouth minivan, traveling westbound on Terra Bella Street, ran a red light and struck two vehicles,  a blue Ford Mustang and a tan Honda Civic, both headed south on Woodman.

Police believe the minivan was fleeing the scene of an earlier, unrelated crash when it approached the intersection, the LAPD said.

Following the impact, the occupant of the Honda Civic exited the vehicle and left the scene, failing to stop, provide identification, or render aid as required under California law, the department added.

Carrillo and his girlfriend were in the Mustang at the time of the crash and were killed. The driver of the minivan also died in the violent crash. A passenger in the minivan was critically injured, authorities said.

Panorama City, CA – The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a multi-vehicle collision that left three people dead and several others injured in Panorama City on Friday night.

At around 9:36 p.m. December 12, authorities received reports of a major crash at the intersection of Woodman Avenue and Cantara Street.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, three vehicles were involved in the collision. Details on what led up to the accident were not available.

The LAFD firefighters and the Los Angleses Police Department responded to the incident to assist the involved parties.

Three people were confirmed deceased at the scene. They were only identified as a 20-year-old man, a 30-year-old man, and a 20-year-old woman.

The firefighters extricated one person from the wreckage. The patient was rushed to a hospital in unknown condition. Three other parties were evaluated by medics but they declined treatment.

No additional information on the incident was provided. The cause of the deadly crash is underway.
