Jackson County, OR – One person was killed after a vehicle crashed on Highway 62 in Jackson County early Tuesday morning.
The single-vehicle crash happened on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 12:24 a.m. on Highway 62, near milepost 32, the Oregon State Police said.
According to OSP, Daniel Charles Forgey, 28, of Prospect, was driving a Chevrolet Suburban westbound on Highway 62 when the vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck the guardrail before overturning.
Forgey was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle as it overturned. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The highway was not closed during the investigation, which was assisted by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Jackson County Fire District 4, and Mercy Flights.
