Contra Costa County, CA – At least one person was seriously hurt in a two-vehicle collision that happened late Monday night at an intersection in El Sobrante, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The responders found a black Toyota Rav4 and a silver Ford Crown Victoria involved in the accident and blocking lanes.
Contra Costa firefighters responded to the scene and helped at least one person who sustained major injuries.
The person who reported the collision to authorities had said all the occupants in at least one of the vehicles were injured. The CHP report, however, did not mention the exact number of patients.
Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
