Compton, CA – At least one person was injured in a motorcycle crash on State Route 91 in Compton early Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred on the eastbound 91 Freeway just west of Wilmington Avenue at approximately 5:05 a.m.
Preliminary reports indicate that a motorcycle collided with a gray truck. Additional vehicles, including a semi-truck and a pickup, were located at the scene. The motorcyclist was found down in the middle lanes following the crash, and the motorcycle was blocking the roadway.
At least one person, believed to be the motorcyclist, sustained minor injuries. No arrests have been reported.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to assist the injured and manage traffic, and a tow was requested for the motorcycle.
The crash briefly blocked lanes, including the No. 5 lane, before all lanes were reopened.
The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
